I finally started decorating for Easter this weekend. So far I have added a few things to the living room. A little bag of speckled eggs on the herringbone industrial table.
Instead of putting candles in the candle holders, I used plastic Easter eggs.
I like the pops of color the eggs bring to the mantle. At Christmas, I use glass ball ornaments.
It’s not Easter without my dollar store bunnies.
The “chocolate” bunnies are from The Christmas Tree Shops. They remind me of the chocolate bunnies I used to get in my Easter basket. P.S if these were real, the ears would be missing.
I have several dozen plastic Easter eggs and I use them in every room. I think they are a fun way to add color. I would love to use jellybeans and peeps but they wouldn’t last a day let alone until Easter. I know I have told you that I have a sweet tooth.
For the centerpiece, I filled a vintage sewing drawer with Easter grass, another “chocolate” bunny and eggs. A few years ago, I found Easter grass made out of paper and made the switch from the plastic kind that sticks around for months. It is safer for the cats too.
In the kitchen, I added Daffodils to a vintage copper teapot. This is my favorite picture of our Piper. She is the sweetest dog ever.
Some more Spring flowers in a vintage tin. The twig nest and glass eggs are from Grandin Road. I got them years ago but I think they still sell a similar version.
Have you started decorating for Easter/Spring yet? I would love to hear about it. Tomorrow I am going to share my favorite Easter dinner table scape ever, courtesy of my Mother in law. It is cute and simple and I promise you will love it.
